Emove Cruise Electric Scooter Overview
The Emove Cruiser is our favorite scooter on the list including over 70+ e-scooters. We love its overall performance in every aspect: long-range, high weight limit, best water-resistance protection in the scooters, and the ability to conquer steep streets, etc. We believe that you’ll become a fan of it as long as you give it a shot.
Thanks to the large pneumatic tires, along with an attachable seat that is available, the Emove Cruiser scooter delivers a great riding experience. No matter you’ll ride it for commuting in the city or for a fun ride on trails.
It’s a pity that the Emove Cruise is a bit pricey, over $1000. That’s compared to those budget options on Amazon. If you compare the Emove Cruiser to those high-end scooters priced over $2000, you’ll find it’s the best budget option. The Emove Cruise itself is not available for sale on Amazon, but you can get it on VoroMotors.
Power Performance – Motor and Battery (Impressively Powerful and Fast)
Motor and Top Speed
Actually, the Emove Cruiser is not a very powerful electric scooter. The motor outputs a nominal 600W and reaches a 1600W at peak, far less than those dual motorized electric scooters that will generate a peak power output over 3000W.
A powerful motor ensures a fast top speed for a scooter. The less powerful motor does not support the Emove Cruiser to reach a fast top speed. But the 25 miles per hour is not slow anyway and still has a spot on our high-speed electric scooters list. After all, most cheap electric scooters sold on Amazon ride at a lower top speed between 10-20 mph.
By default, your EMOVE Cruiser does not has a speed-limiting wire. That means you will ride the scooter with the default setting. If you want to adjust the riding conditions, you’ll need to learn about how to set the Emove Cruiser’s speed via the P setting.
Acceleration
The Emove Cruiser electric scooter is less powerful than high-end models, but it’s obviously more powerful than most cheap e-scooters on the market. The peak power output of 1600W enables the scooter to have a fast acceleration.
The Emove Cruiser supports a zero mode start. It takes only 3.4 seconds for this scooter to accelerate from zero to 15 miles per hour. Being suitable with this quick acceleration might need skills and experience. At this point, Emove Cruiser is not suitable for novices in scootering.
It would be better for people who just have their first try on a scooter to get a slower e-scooter. But if you do really like the Emove Cruiser, do remember to protect yourself with gears and learn to ride correctly on the Emove Cruiser scooter.
Climbing Hills
The capability to climb hills or deal with steep streets is also affected by the motor power. You won’t be surprised that the Emove Cruiser scooter is able to go up hills of 20-degree. This 20-degree grade of climbing hills is quite impressive, enabling the Emove Cruiser to be one of the best electric scooters to conquer the steepest streets in the US cities.
Battery and Range
The Emove Cruiser is built to last for long-range travel, up to 62 miles on a single charge. Even the 62-mile range is the test results under very ideal conditions, carrying an average adult (200 lbs.) riding on flat asphalts or pavements. But if you want a scooter that will allow you to ride a long commute without being stuck halfway on the road, the Emove Cruiser is the right choice.
Packed with a large 52V 30Ah LG battery, the Emove Cruiser allows you to enjoy riding overcharging. The maximum 62-mile range ensures one week’s rides if your commute is around 10 miles a day, reducing the time you spent on charging a scooter.
This is very different from those scooters with short-distance commuting around 10 miles, which means you need to charge the scooter every day. And if you need to ride for a long distance from home to office or school, some budget options might need to be charged for every commute.
The Lithium-ion batteries are rechargeable, but they all have a life span related to the charging-circle. Reducing the charge frequency means extending the overall life span of the battery, even the Emove Cruiser features battery management system protection for longer usage.
Large batteries generally require a longer charging time. It takes 9-12 hours to charge the Emove Cruiser fully for another 62-mile ride. Some scooters support fast charging, like the Segway MAX, and takes a shorter time for charging. Some high-end scooters with large batteries have two charging ports to shorten the charging time. The manufacturer does not specify the quick charge feature, nor two charge ports.
Ride Quality – Comfortable and Stable
Tire
Featuring two large 10-inch tubeless pneumatic tires, the Emove Cruiser offers you a smooth and comfortable riding experience and has a name among the best electric scooters with big wheels.
According to the manufacturer, the tires are newly-upgraded from the old Emover Cruiser version, reducing the chance that the tires turn flat after several rides. The flat-tire rate is very low at 0.003%. And if you are unlucky to receive an Emover Cruiser scooter with flat tires, you could contact the seller for a customer service anyway.
The no-inner-tube design reduces the risk of the inner tube bursting in the middle of your ride, but for safe riding.
Suspension and Brakes
Most premium e-scooters will feature both dual suspension systems, so does the Emove Cruiser. The front dual suspension, along with the rear air shock suspension, ensures you to have a smooth ride on any road conditions. The two large 10-inch tires also add scores to its riding comfort. No matter you ride it through the potholes in the cities or trails outdoor, riding on the Emove Cruiser is just enjoyment.
Furthermore, the newly upgraded front and rear XTECH hybrid hydraulic brakes offer you a very strong braking power for an efficient stop when need. After all, the Emove Cruiser electric scooter’s 25 mph top speed is not that slow to allow you to ignore.
Build – Bulky and Sturdy
Design
You’ll love the Emove Cruiser at the first glance. The scooter is available in three colors: Black, White, and Orange, making it a good choice for men and women. The unique folding mechanism is curved to connect the deck and stem. This design provides more space for the scooter itself to have a large front tire.
The stem is wider and heavier at the bottom part, ensuring the scooter to have great stability during the riding. This makes the Emvoe Cruiser scooter look a bit sturdy, but this might be also the reason why it is suitable for a heavy rider.
The LCD display on the handlebar is generally used on professional bikes, making the scooter look a bit more appealing for those speed enthusiasts.
Weight Limit
The maximum load capacity of 352 pounds makes the Emove Cruiser be very suitable for big guys more than 350 lbs or for two people with average weight.
There are some electric scooters on the market support 250-pound adults, but very few scooters can reach this high weight limit. On our list, the Emover Cruiser scooter ranked fourth. It’s just beaten by only three others – OUTSTORM (385 pounds), Kaabo Wolf King (400 pounds), and Kaabo Wolf Warrior 11 (450 pounds).
Deck
It seemed the manufacturer was very sweetheart. They always took the space into the design consideration, the curved connection, and the ultra-large and spacious deck.
With a length of 21-in and a width of 10-inch, the Emove Cruiser offers enough space for two people standing on the deck.
The large deck also ensures you have room to put your feet on even if you want to attach the seat to the deck at the rear. After all, the seat itself will need a bit of space to mount in.
You’ll find that the deck is not a whole pack like the Segway Ninebot ES4. There are screws on the surface. But this does not affect the Emove Cruiser’s waterproof performance.
Waterproof
Yes, the Emove Cruiser features the highest level of water resistance among the scooters list on our website – IPX6. This makes it be the highest water resistance rated electric scooter on the market, or even in the world. After all, there is no e-scooter featuring a higher IPX7, which means 100% waterproof to get submerged into the water completely.
It’s not inevitable that you may get caught under bad weather conditions if you ride outdoors. The IPX6 rated Emove Cruiser ensures you to have a safe ride on rainy or snowy days. Keep in mind: It’s not recommended to ride a scooter in tough environments, like at nights, heavy rainy, or snowy days.
Portability
The Emove Cruiser looks sturdy and even a bit bulky. The height after fully extended handlebar to the ground is up to 46.5 inches (118 cm), the length from the head edge of the front tire to the back edge of the rear tire is up to 48 inches (121 cm). Even it features a folding design and a foldable handlebar, the scooter weighs up to 52 pounds (23 kg), not high as those really bulky models, but not low as those lightweight options.
This size and weight are good for storage and the Emove Cruiser fits well inside your car boot, under your table, or keep in your apartment, but not easy for men and women to carry it around on a bus or train. It won’t have a high score in the portability.
Lights
The Emove Cruiser comes with four types of lights: front headlight, front deck sidelights, rear brake lights, and turn signal lights.
The headlight allows you to have a clear view of the road when you need to drive at night, for example, go back home from the office.
The sidelights make you be visible to others and remind them to keep a safe distance from you. The brake lights are generally mounted on the rear wheel to give notice to the one following you.
Most electric scooters will have the first three kinds of lights. Turn signal lights are very seldomly seen on scooters. But we love this warmhearted feature that offers the Emove Cruiser one more warning tip for both you and other people’s safety.
Bonus for Buying Emove Cruiser Electric Scooter
Seat
The attachable seat ensures the long-distance riding on Emove Cruiser to be more comfortable. That’s a very considerable feature that the manufacturer adds to the scooter, making it a very appealing seated electric scooter.
Long-range needs a seat! You won’t want to stand up on the scooter for 20+ miles, especially for big guys. But if you just need to commute short-distance or ride it to get packages around the community, the seat is removable for fun.
Anti-theft
Unlike most electric scooters featuring a smart key that has a risk to be hacked, the Emove Cruiser has double ensurances to belong to you. Each Emove Cruiser electric scooter also comes with a classic anti-theft locking key, which is unique to every Cruiser. Keep the key safe, the Cruiser belongs to you. No one is able to gain access to it without the keys.
Want to uplevel the anti-theft? You can buy another common bike lock and lock it through the tough folding mechanism stem. The hollow out on the folding mechanism stem gives you an option to lock the Emove Cruiser anywhere you want.
